Opening Night Party
On July 20th at 7pm there will be a party welcoming the BREAK THE FLOOR cast
to New York. The Opening Night Party will take place at a restaurant/club a few
blocks from the host hotel. It is free of charge to participants, friends and
family. The party will be a chance to meet other participants as well as the
BREAK THE FLOOR faculty and staff. There will be live DJ and a cash bar. At
7:30 there will be a brief orientation. Dress is casual. The night will end at
around 9pm.
Bingo
Gil hosts BINGO! Friends and family are encouraged to attend. Fun, corny jokes,
and prizes!!
Karaoke Night!
Oh Yeah! This will be fun! Sing your heart out baby!
Parent Tap Class!!!!!
Parents of all the workshop participants are invited to a basic tap class. No
tap shoes needed. This is the easiest of easy classes. Do not be afraid
parents. It will be a lot of fun. FREE WINE!!! (21 and up only, of course)
Kids: START HARASSING YOUR PARENTS NOW!!! WE WANT TO SEE THEM ON THE DANCE
FLOOR!!!
Metal vs. Wood
Metal vs. Wood is a solo tap competition in 3 different age levels: 7-12,
13-15, 16 + up. The time limit is 3 minutes. The solo may be in any style of
tap, with or without music. The winner of each category will receive a full
scholarship to a future BREAK THE FLOOR. The runner-up in each category will
receive a half scholarship. The entry fee for Metal vs. Wood is $75.
Participation is optional. Registration for Metal vs. Wood takes place during
normal registration on July 21st.
